Eco-Friendly and Sustainability

At Kingpins, sustainability isn't just a buzzword—it's a core part of our ethos. We’re committed to getting greener every step of the way while continuing to deliver the quality products you deserve.

Did you know that about 85% of all textiles produced by the fashion industry end up in landfills? This makes it a significant contributor to environmental damage. Shockingly, one in every five items produced ends up in landfills without being worn even once.

By partnering with on-demand suppliers, we only produce items as they are ordered, effectively avoiding textile waste from overproduction.

Our printing partners use high-quality technology that minimizes waste, conserves water, and uses less energy compared to standard industry printers.

At Kingpins, we’re not just following trends; we’re setting them by leading the charge towards a more sustainable future in fashion. Join us as we continue to innovate and inspire change in the industry

How do you ensure organic or recycled material content in your eco-friendly products?

Apparel products in our eco-friendly product collection consists of at least 70% organic or recycled materials, or such material blends.

To verify material content, our partners collect valid certificates from our suppliers. As proof of the organic composition of the appeal products, they only accept GOTS or OCS certificates.

GLOBAL ORGANIC TEXTILE STANDARD (GOTS)

The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) is the worldwide leading textie processing standard for organic fibers, including ecological and social criteria, backed up by the independent third-party certification of the entire textile supply chain. This standard also sets limitations on other fibers that can be blended with organic fibers.

ORGANIC CONTENT STANDARDS (OCS)

The Organic Content Standard (OCS) is a certification for non-food goods that confirms the organic material presence in the final product. It also follows the supply chain from its source to the final product.

Global Recycled Standard (GRS) and Recycled Claim Standard (RCS)

The Recycled Claim Standard (RCS) and Global Recycled  Standard (GRS) are international, voluntary certification of recycled content and supply chain. The shared goal of the standards is to increase the use of recycled materials. The GRA includes additional criteria for social and environmental processing requirements and chemical restrictions.

Information on Production

Each product you see on our website is made on-demand-once you place an order, we produce it specifically for you. This allows us to avoid overproduction and textile waste, and we are continuously working toward greener production.

Info about Printing Tech and Materials

This is information about direct-to-garment printing. Note: This method is typically used for products with high cotton fabric content, like t-shirts, hoodies, tote bags, etc.

Our clothing designs are fulfilled using various methods. Many of our products are printed with the direct-to-garment (DTG) technique, which is a printing method where ink is first sprayed directly onto the garment, and then it soaks into the fabric. It's like printing on paper, but on clothing. Our partner uses Kornit printers that generate almost a zero wastewater and use less energy than standard industry printers, which lowers our carbon footprint.

Ink Information

The inks our partners use for printing are Oeko-Tex Certified, vegan, water-based, and free of harmful chemicals, Kingpin's Street Style takes sustainability seriously, that's why we take care to properly dispose of any leftover ink according to the ink supplier guidelines.

Embroidery Info

At Kingpin Street Style, we embroider our products with Oeko-Tex Certified threads, meaning they are safe for both adult and children's clothing. Compared to printing, embroidery is generally more durable and produces less environmental waste.

Eco-Friendly Product Material

There are a lot of reasons why a product or material could be considered sustainable. Currently, at Kingpin's Street Style our eco-friendly product collection consists of items made of at least 70% organic or recycled materials, or a mix of these materials.

Each product you see on our website is made on demand, which means once you place the order, we start working to get it to you. It takes time for us to create and send out the product, but making each order on demand allows us to avoid overproduction. This way we get to take care of you and the planet we all share!!

Product Packaging

At Kingpin's Street Style all apparel products are packed in post-consumer recycled (PCR) plastic mailers. The amount of PCR in the packaging will differ depending on where your order gets printed, but it's at least 50% for the outside (white or grey) poly mailer bags and at least 30% for the inside (clear) bags used in multi-item shipments.

PCR packaging is made from everyday items, like used plastic bags and bottles. This material protects your order just as well as regular plastic bags, however, choosing PCR over first use plastics reduces the environmental impact plastic has on our planet.

For DTG Products, our partners use Kornit Water based and NeoPigment Inks that are Oeko-Tex Certified, which means they are safe to print on children's clothing and reduce environmental waste. These things provide a high washing colorfast AATCC rating of 4.

DTG Products

Sublimation Products

Our partners use Mimali Dye Sublimation Ink Sb411 and Sawgrass SubllJet HD Ink for sublimation products. Both of these inks are Oeko-Tex Certified. For some sublimation products, we also use MYSIBLI-E Sublimation Transfer Ink.

Posters

For posters, our partners use Sawgrass SubllJet HD Ink. For selected non-apparel products, stickers, and canvas, they use EPSON SC80610/80600 Ink.

What is Recycled Polyester?

Recycled Polyester (rPET for short) is a fabric that's produced from synthetic fibers. Recycled polyester is produced by recycling existing materials like plastic bottles and packaging but still has all the characteristics and performance as a regular polyester, making it a more sustainable fabric alternative.

How is Recycled Polyester made?

Recycled polyester is made by crushing plastic products into small pieces. These small pieces are then processed into a yarn, transformed into a fiber, and in the end made into a fabric.

What are the advantages of Recycled Polyester?

Producing rPET takes 33% to 53% less energy than creating polyester from scratch. Also, rPET produces approximately 54.6% fewer CO2 emissions to the air than virgin polyester.

By using recycled materials to make things like the Unisex Athletic Shorts at least some of the plastic waste produced doesn't end up in landfills.

Sublimation Printing

Alright, listen up! Here’s the Kingpin’s Street Style lowdown on sublimation printing-fresh, fly, and straight fire:

---

Sublimation printing? It’s the real MVP, fam. We’re talkin’ print magic that slaps your design *into* the fabric or product-not just slapped on top like some basic print. From dope apparel to slick home decor and accessories, this technique’s got mad range. That’s why Kingpin’s Sublimation Printing is straight-up in demand, no cap.

So, what’s sublimation all about? Peep this: we start by printing your design on special sublimation paper loaded with vibrant ink. Then, we hit it with heat, pressure, and time-the holy trinity that makes the ink turn gaseous and seep deep into the material. The result? Colors so vivid they pop off the product, and prints that don’t crack, peel, or fade even after mad washes.

Now, here’s where Kingpin’s flexes on the rest: while some crews leave those ugly white streaks in designs, we don’t play that. Our squad hand-cuts and sews every shirt from scratch-front, back, sleeves, collar-all printed *before* we stitch. That means flawless, all-over prints with zero white lines, 100% street cred.

Our sublimation game ain’t just shirts, either. We got slides and flip-flops that bring your custom designs to life, bags that hold your hustle tight-backpacks, duffels, fanny packs-you name it. Plus, cozy leggings, pillows, blankets, mugs, hoodies, yoga pants, towels-the whole vibe.

Quality’s king here. We run a triple threat check:
1. Automated software scans your graphics pre-print.
2. Our fulfillment pros inspect every order as it’s packed.
3. Final quality check post-customization to keep it flawless.

All printed with high-grade Mimaki inkjet tech for that crisp, vibrant finish you deserve. Even with all this precision, our shipping stays quick and customer-friendly.

Bottom line? When you roll with Kingpin’s Sublimation Printing, you’re getting next-level, durable swag that stays fresh wash after wash. No fading, no cracking-just pure, bold style that’s built to last.

That’s the Kingpin’s promise. Stay fresh, stay fly.
