Life isn’t always a straight line, and for me and my two sons, it’s been an unfiltered ride through chaos and courage. We’ve faced storms that would break most, but here we are, rising like the phoenix, ready to take on the world—one bold outfit at a time.
Growing up, my boys and I were no strangers to the darker sides of life. Domestic violence cast a long shadow over our home, but it never defined us. They witnessed the worst but emerged with hearts that could only understand kindness. They learned early on that true strength isn’t about control—it’s about lifting others up. Watching them treat their girlfriends with respect and encouragement showed me that despite our struggles, love and compassion were our guiding lights.
But the real test came when we found ourselves on the streets. Picture this: the bitter January wind howling through the night, and my boys searching for warmth in a tent that was supposed to be our shelter. The police didn’t just take my husband and me away—they took everything. Our kerosene heater, our clothes, our phones—all of it thrown into the icy waters as if our survival didn’t matter. When my sons arrived to find nothing but destruction, the weight of the world fell on their shoulders. Yet, instead of breaking them, it forged a bond that could withstand anything.
